Dr. Paul Craig Roberts (former US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy) returns to the programme for an extended interview on the ongoing tensions between Washington and Moscow.

Drawing upon his extensive experience in government, academia and journalism, Dr. Roberts explains how Washington's current hostility towards Russia, with its demonisation of Vladimir Putin, is a bitter fruit of the neoconservative ideology of world hegemony that came to dominate US centres of power from the early 1990s onwards. Assessing the geopolitical landscape with an eye to historical, economic and political realities, Dr. Roberts judges there to be only two hopes for the world to avert nuclear Armageddon: a Europe decisively resistant to Washington diktat, or economic collapse of the US empire itself.

We also discuss the murder of Boris Nemtsov, prospects for Washington-agitated colour revolutions in Central Asia/Caucasus, MH17 and the growth of the police state in the US.

On March 3rd, 2014 Abby Martin decided to speak her mind and express her disappointment regarding the Crimea media coverage from all sides of the spectrum live on her television show, Breaking The Set. The story went viral on the mainstream media, only because her show airs on Russian backed RT, and Russia had just stepped into the conflict following the coup in Ukraine. Immediately following this action, a cadre of younger thirty-something neoconservatives in the heart of Washington DC tried to smear Abby after discovering her political views. In addition to the distorted take-down attempts against her, they tried to hijack her stand and manipulate it into anti-Russian / pro-US propaganda.

Unfortunately it now appears that a war between the US and it's allies with Iran is imminent. By any military analysts assessment this has a real chance of changing the current multi-theatre war against terrorism and so called rogue/terrorist states into a real World War III scenario!

Following the Main Stream Media (MSM) in the west over the last few months, you would be sensing that many things have happened to support the war with Iran rationale, hearing that Iran wants a Nuclear bomb and would be prepared to use it against Israel and the US. Other alarming stories include Iran trading in weapons with "rogue states", Iran killing innocent people abroad, Iran's President is insane and wants to "wipe Israel off the map", Iran has been involved in terrorist plots/bombings and may attack inside the US and Iran is trading drugs. The list of baseless accusation goes on and on.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks of Dec 7, 1941.

During a visit to a local antique store, I came across a relic of an issue of Time magazine for $6.00.

Dated September 10th, 1945, I quickly looked inside to see what I would find. What a score! I felt like I was reading the 9/11 Commission Report, or at least a summary of it.

I could not help but think of all the similarities between Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

Everyone knows that in 2000 the Project for a New American Century, a neo-conservative think-tank, called for a “new Pearl Harbor” in order to facilitate and hasten their plan for military hegemony. And we know that came on September 11th, 2001.

And everyone knows that the 9/11 cover-up was sealed with the 9/11 Commission Report.

So it was reminiscent to read about a “ludicrous story of doodling,” “omissions,” information gaps and the “failure” of one to give information to another in the lead-up to the Pearl Harbor attacks – Oh, and missed warnings.

Wesley Clark is a retired General of the United States Army. In this interview, he suggested that the US Government's decision to get involved in the Middle East during the Bush Presidency was heavily influenced by the people at PNAC (Project for New American Century). "This country was taken over by a group of people with a Policy coup" says Clark, who commanded the Operation Allied Force in the Kosova War during his term as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO from 1997 to 2000.

Restino asserted the Project For New American Century (PNAC) was the neo-conservative document that predicted the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.

If you really want to know who "did" 9/11, this film "The New American Century" by Massimo Mazzucco does a great job at setting out both who called for it and who befitted from it!

While this production is successful in confronting deeply disturbing recent American and world history, its greatest achievement is that it presents the real and clear message that the American Neo-Cons are in control of our world at war today. It makes the case indirectly that their control will continue to be a reality until the real history of the events on September 11th, 2001 are confronted by the American public.

The mainstream media's favorite scapegoat, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, resurfaced on Saturday amidst reports that he called the attacks of September 11, 2001 "a big lie."

According to the immediate and rabid response of virtually every Western news network around, this was simply the latest insane claim of the same raving madman who has previously threatened to wipe a foreign state off the map and denied the Holocaust.

Project for a New American Century lists their office address as 1150 17th Street, Suite 510, Washington DC on their web site front page. http://NewAmericanCentury.Org But, like their misleading advice as a "think tank" this a phony "mail drop" address.

PNAC presented a report called "Rebuilding America's Defenses" written mostly by Chicken Hawks who never joined the military. It said that "it will take a catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor" to get the American public's support for using our military might. Like their "military leadership" the PNAC was about false appearances instead of truth. The PNAC, hiding behind a phony office "front", with a misleading web site, helped get America in to a war over false pretenses.

As the godfather of neoconservatism, Irving Kristol blazed a trail. The progressive movement could use a figure like him.

Few intellectuals of the 20th century were the equal of Irving Kristol, who died today at age 89, in terms of political influence. His journey from left to right from the 1940s to the 1970s was one that many others would follow, but he blazed the trail.

In the 1930s, he was a Trotskyite. Many a history exists describing the circle of formidable Jewish intellectuals who studied at City College of New York in Harlem – Kristol, Sidney Hook, Alfred Kazin, Irving Howe and many others. In those days, tables at the cafeteria were divided between Stalinists and Trots. Debates were ferocious, but it was assumed that one was on the left.

Understanding the context

The goal of the 9/11 Truth Movement (hererafter “TM”) is for there to be a criminal investigation into possible complicity by the US government in the attacks of that day. Consequently, the baseline proposition of the TM is, logically, that there is sufficient evidence of government complicity in 9/11 to warrant such an investigation.

The New American Century is an italian movie made by film-maker Massimo Mazzucco, recently translated into english. The movie presents the historical, philosophical, economical and political background (some of which is practically unknown to the general public) to 9/11 attacks and the wars that followed.
